Young & Gifted Enterprise was born from a shared passion for investing in the next generation and creating opportunities for young people to discover their gifts, strengthen their mindset, and explore entrepreneurship.
The journey began with the Kids Entrepreneur Fest, a community event founded by Leona Gray of Prominent Entertainment and Ashanti Malone of Stitched by Sunny. Together, they wanted to give young people a platform to showcase their creativity, learn valuable business skills, and experience what it feels like to bring an idea to life.
The response from families, community members, and the young participants was overwhelming. Parents asked when the next event would be held, and many expressed how meaningful it was to see children step into their confidence, share their talents, and believe in themselves.
That experience made one thing clear: this vision was bigger than a single event.
In response, Leona Gray and Ashanti Malone expanded the idea into Young & Gifted Enterprise, a six-week youth entrepreneurship and mindset development program designed for ages 12–17. The program combines practical business education, creativity, mentorship, and personal growth to help participants build confidence and explore new possibilities in a supportive environment.
While Young & Gifted Enterprise welcomes young people from all backgrounds, we are especially passionate about reaching youth who may not always have access to entrepreneurial experiences, mentorship, or opportunities to develop and showcase their talents. We believe potential is everywhere, and every young person deserves the chance to be seen, encouraged, and equipped to grow.
At Young & Gifted Enterprise, we believe every young person has unique gifts worth developing. We are committed to creating a community where participants encourage one another, learn together, and understand that success is not about competing with others but about growing into the best version of themselves.
Everything we do is rooted in one simple belief: when young people are given opportunity, encouragement, and guidance, they can accomplish incredible things.
